Azhar Mahmood Sagar is a Pakistani cricketer born February 28 1975. A genuine all-rounder Azhar has talent in abundance and is able to deliver the goods in one-day and Test cricket.As a batsman the right-hander often raises the tempo of the lower-middle order particulary relishing shots off his legs as well as anything short.In attack he is a useful English-style seam bowler who can chip in with wickets in time of need.Azhar made his one-day international debut against India in 1996 but it was only when he played in his first Test against South Africa the following year that he gained true recognition.
